Proclus: “Alert, alert! Captain, we have a problem. Directly ahead is a glitched anomaly. Unlike the rest, there is an elevated probability that we don’t make it through the other side. How should we proceed?”
The green and purple glow began to encapsulate the Wandercraft, planets and stars contorting out of view, and yet there was an eerie calmness on board. Light years had passed since The Vanishing and 721 knew there was only one way around a wormhole and that was through it. Though the chances were high that something could go wrong, a decision had to be made.
721: “Full speed ahead.”
Proclus, the onboard AI, engaged the warp drive to full power. The ship ripped through space as it accelerated through the strange glitch. On the other side, immediate danger presented itself.
“Give me the flight controls!” 721 shouted as the wormhole opened and hurled the ship at an asteroid the size of a freighter. 721 punched the controls and dodged to the right, nearly hitting the massive asteroid.
721: “Where are we?”

Proclus: “We are in the outer atmosphere of a planet called Dedomena. These massive asteroids, along with the planet-sized storm, act as a natural barrier for the surface down below.”
721: “Are there any inhabitants?”
Proclus: “I am not picking up any signs of life. However, the glyphs seem to be powered from deep within. It is an unusual energy I have not picked up before.”
The Wandercraft lurched, 721 and Proclus lost control and the energy that powered the planet grabbed ahold of the ship. Immediately it began its turbulent descent toward the surface as if a moth to a flame.
721 woke up on the surface of Dedomena, battered but alive.
